On arrival at the Kihihi airstrip, meet your guide for a briefing and have a refreshment. Afterward, start a scenic drive to Buhoma. Arrive at your lodge and have lunch. In the evening, go on a village walk and visit the local schools, hospitals, and craft shops.

Day 2Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then be allocated a gorilla group to visit. You will be led by the park ranger into the forest where you will meet these gentle giants. On your way during the trekking, you will encounter different flora and fauna. Once you meet the gorilla family, you are allowed a 1-hour stay with the group. It is a once-in-a-lifetime memorable moment as you look into the brown eyes of these great apes.

In the afternoon after lunch, you may opt for a community village walk to discover the unique way of living of the Batwa community people. They originally used to live in the forests before the area was reserved as a national park.

Day 3Second Gorilla Trekking

Just like the previous day, have a hearty breakfast and then head out for a second gorilla trekking experience. You will visit a different gorilla family. Every gorilla-trekking experience is different and unique.

In the afternoon after lunch, you have the option to visit a women’s project – Ride 4 a Woman. It is a charitable organization set up to support women who are victims of poverty, the HIV epidemic, and domestic violence. Your visit indirectly supports the project work.

Day 4Fly to Entebbe – Connect to International Flight
